Kawasaki, 1975 Kawasaki Z1

This 1975 Kawasaki Z1 is finished in Supercandy red with black, yellow, and white stripes and is powered by a 903cc DOHC inline-four mated to a five-speed transmission. Features include a two-up seat, a front disc brake, an electric starter, a chrome grab handle, chrome fenders and engine guards, and both center and side stands. Chrome wire-spoke wheels measuring 19″ up front and 18″ at the rear wear Avon Roadrider tires that were replaced under current ownership. Suspension is handled by a 36mm hydraulic fork as well as a swingarm connected to dual preload-adjustable chrome shocks. Braking is provided by a front disc with a single-piston caliper as well as a rear drum.

The 160-mph Nippon Denso speedometer and 12k-rpm tachometer flank a central panel that contains the keyed ignition along with indicator lights for turn signals, neutral, high beam, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles. The 903cc DOHC inline-four is equipped with four Mikuni carburetors and both kick and electric starters. Factory-rated output was 82 horsepower and 54 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the chrome four-into-four exhaust system is a replacement. Service under current ownership reportedly included cleaning and synchronizing the carburetors and replacing the battery.

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a multi-disc wet clutch, a five-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
